Episode 23: Ringo Starr

Frank and Paul discuss the life, legacy and impact of the luckiest drummer in the world, Sir Ringo Starr.

John Lennon was born on October 9th, 1940 in Liverpool. He was the son of Alfred and Julia Lennon. In his childhood, John Lennon spent a great deal of time between his Aunt Mimi’s house and his mother’s whom lived right down the street. At the age of 16, John was inspired by American music artists such as Elvis Presley and Chuck Barry and formed a band of his own in the 1950s called The Quarrymen. It was with that band where John Lennon would go on to meet his future writing partner, Paul McCartney and the band would later become known as The Beatles.
